July 19th

Ha! Just about finished the roof in all that rain... and now the forecast looks to turn warm and sunny.
C'est la vie.

It's taken a few days to get the lead done. Bought welded front aprons to make a good job of things around the chimney and then used standard 240mm code 4 lead to create the flashings.

Needed a new flashing between the old part of the house and the 1930's extension - used plastic 'Easy Soakers' for under the tiles and then Code 4 lead for the flashing on top. Didn't forget the patination oil either - this stops the lead staining the tiles white and leads to a nice dark grey patina of the lead.
The vent is the inlet for the MHRV system. It has a rating of 18000 sq.mm so just the job for a 150mm vent pipe. Took ages to source but well worth the hassle.
